Scallion Curls

6 to 8 fresh scallions
Cold water
10 to 12 ice cubes

Satay Beef (China)

1 pound beef tenderloin
5 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon cornstarch
3 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
